Turtle head - Hot Lips

Turtle head - Hot Lips has short spikes of rosy-pink flowers that look like a turtle head with its mouth open it delights children and other pedestrians in late summer and early fall. The Hot Lips variety of the turtle head has bronze-green foliage that turns a deeper green than the rest of the Chelone lyonii species, but is equal in beauty.
