Turtle head - Hot Lips
Product Description
Turtle head - Hot Lips has short spikes of rosy-pink flowers that look like a turtle head with its mouth open it delights children and other pedestrians in late summer and early fall. This is the kind of plant that makes a great backdrop for shorter plants in the garden all season long. This Chelone lyonii is a long-blooming perennial that thrives in moist woodland conditions. The Hot Lips variety of the turtle head has bronze-green foliage that turns a deeper green than the rest of the Chelone lyonii species, but is equal in beauty. This Chelone lyonii's upright, red stems provide additional beauty throughout the summer into the autumn.
